Position Overview:

The Executive – Production will be responsible for operating the production plant as per established procedures, ensuring smooth plant operations, adherence to safety standards, and maintaining proper records in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant Operation: Operate the plant as per the instructions provided by the Shift In-charge, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Equipment Handling: Responsible for the operation and cleaning of equipment in the process area, including reactors, filters, and centrifuges.
  • Environment Monitoring: Continuously monitor environmental conditions in the process area and take appropriate actions to ensure compliance.
  • Record Keeping: Regularly note down plant readings and maintain online Batch Production Records (BPRs) and GMP documents.
  • Material Handling: Transfer raw materials, load/unload materials from drums, tanks, and other containers as per the shift instructions.
  • Sampling: Collect process samples following shift in-charge instructions while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Ensure safety of personnel and machines, maintain plant cleanliness, and ensure proper housekeeping.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Adhere strictly to the permit system, report deviations from standard practices, and follow all safety norms.
  • Packing and Labeling: Perform packing and labeling activities in accordance with SOPs.
  • TPM and WCM: Contribute to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities.
  • 5S Maintenance: Ensure the 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) are followed within the plant.
  • Responsible Care: Maintain awareness about Responsible Care, with a focus on Environment, Health, Safety, and Security.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Diploma in Chemical Engineering, or
    • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry or related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3 to 5 years of experience in a continuous chemical process or batch process plant.

Key Competencies:

  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Operating knowledge of continuous and batch chemical processes.
    • Hands-on experience with equipment such as reactors, filters, and centrifuges.
    • Knowledge of distillation operations and material handling, including handling toxic and hazardous materials.
    • Familiarity with DCS (Distributed Control Systems) or PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) based plant operation.
    • Understanding of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and adherence to safety and quality norms.
  • Behavioral Competencies:
    • Strong adherence to safety, quality, and GMP norms.
    • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
    • Good communication and documentation skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Willingness to work in shifts.
