Senior Executive – Hydrogenation Operations (DDS Department)

Job Overview
Syngene International Ltd. is hiring a Senior Executive to support hydrogenation laboratory operations within the Drug Discovery Services (DDS) division. This role focuses on executing hydrogenation reactions, managing laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with EHS standards, and supporting seamless coordination across technical and operational teams. The position is critical for maintaining efficiency, safety, and quality in large-scale chemical processes.

Experience Required
0–3 years of relevant industrial experience in chemical engineering, hydrogenation processes, or laboratory operations (candidates with hands-on exposure to hydrogenation systems will be preferred).

Key Responsibilities
Execute hydrogenation reactions and filtration processes independently in accordance with approved procedures
Prepare, clean, and maintain autoclaves and related equipment to ensure operational readiness
Adhere to laboratory schedules, SOPs, and operational workflows within the hydrogenation unit
Troubleshoot equipment and automation-related issues to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of daily laboratory activities and reactions
Prepare periodic operational and utilization reports for internal stakeholders
Monitor inventory of consumables, spare parts, and gases; ensure uninterrupted supply of hydrogen and other critical materials
Collaborate with chemists, team members, engineering teams, and external vendors to resolve technical issues efficiently
Ensure strict adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines and regulatory compliance
Handle hazardous materials, including pyrophoric catalysts, with high safety standards
Proactively identify risks, report incidents, and support continuous safety improvements

Educational Qualification
Diploma in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline

Technical Skills
Strong understanding of fundamental chemistry principles
Hands-on experience or exposure to hydrogenation reactions and chemical processing
Knowledge of handling hazardous and pyrophoric substances safely
Familiarity with laboratory automation systems and equipment troubleshooting
Basic understanding of documentation practices and reporting standards
