Senior Executive – Manufacturing Operations

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Mode: On-Site (Shift-Based Operations – 6 Days Working)

Role Summary

The Senior Executive – Manufacturing Operations is responsible for supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring safe and efficient production operations, maintaining product quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves operating and monitoring manufacturing processes, supporting equipment maintenance, handling hazardous materials safely, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards.

This position requires strong technical expertise in chemical manufacturing operations, shift management, process troubleshooting, SCADA systems, and hazardous gas handling within a regulated industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations & Production Support

  • Perform manufacturing operations according to approved procedures and established protocols.
  • Support shift-wise production activities to ensure operational continuity and productivity.
  • Safely execute manufacturing processes while maintaining product quality standards.
  • Complete assigned production targets and departmental objectives within established timelines.
  • Monitor operational performance and communicate status updates to supervisors.
  • Support manufacturing activities related to gas production and cylinder filling operations.

Process Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor manufacturing systems and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Perform routine troubleshooting and resolve operational issues independently.
  • Escalate critical process deviations and equipment concerns when required.
  • Support process optimization initiatives to improve productivity and quality.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.

SCADA & Automation Operations

  • Operate and monitor SCADA systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Analyze system alarms, operational parameters, and process trends.
  • Support process control and automation activities.
  • Ensure operational data is accurately monitored and recorded.

Safety, Compliance & Hazardous Material Handling

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Safely handle:
    • Hazardous Gases
    • Chemical Materials
    • Solvents
    • Distillation Operations
    • Solvent Transfer Activities
  • Identify unsafe conditions and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Support EHS initiatives and promote a strong safety culture within the manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, and operational standards.

Quality Assurance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate production and operational records.
  • Ensure all required:
    • Logbooks
    • Batch Records
    • Process Documentation
    • Operational Checklists
      are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Report and document deviations observed during manufacturing activities.
  • Support deviation investigations and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO Quality Standards and internal procedures.

Equipment Maintenance & AM/PM Activities

  • Support Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.
  • Assist in maintaining production equipment and utilities.
  • Ensure equipment cleanliness and readiness for operations.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment servicing and repairs.

Laboratory & Analytical Support

  • Perform analytical evaluations of:
    • Raw Materials
    • Intermediate Products
    • Finished Products
  • Interpret analytical results and report findings accurately.
  • Support laboratory activities including:
    • Equipment Maintenance
    • Reagent Preparation
    • Inventory Replenishment
    • Waste Disposal
  • Ensure laboratory operations comply with safety and quality standards.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Drive and implement:
    • Kaizen Initiatives
    • 6S Programs
    • Process Improvement Activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Develop improvement ideas and evaluate the impact of process changes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects under the guidance of supervisors and technical leaders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with:
    • Manufacturing Teams
    • Maintenance Teams

    • EHS Teams
  • Support operational and business objectives through effective teamwork and communication.
  • Participate in shift handovers and operational review discussions.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in:
    • Chemical Engineering

Experience

  • Minimum 4+ years of industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in:
    • Gas Production Operations
    • Cylinder Filling Operations
    • Chemical Manufacturing Environments
  • Experience handling shift-based manufacturing activities.
  • Experience working in industrial production facilities with hazardous materials.
