Job Summary
The Executive – Coding Services role focuses on accurate medical coding, compliance adherence, and documentation review to support efficient billing processes. This position is ideal for candidates who possess strong analytical skills, coding expertise, and exceptional attention to detail.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Review and extract relevant clinical data from patient medical records
Validate documents for completeness and accuracy
Assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/ICD-10-CM, APC, DRG, and ASA codes
Ensure grammatical accuracy and error-free documentation
Conduct chart audits and quality checks
Report technical or system-related issues to supervisors
Ensure full compliance with medical coding regulations and guidelines
Verify coding alignment with physician diagnosis
Stay updated on evolving coding rules and code set updates
Share coding and billing updates with relevant teams
Required Qualifications & Expertise
Graduation in Life Sciences or any equivalent degree with Anatomy/Physiology as core subjects
Experience Required: 6 months to 2 years in medical coding
At least one recognized coding certification (mandatory):
AAPC: CPC, COC, CRC, CPC-P
AHIMA: CCS, CCSP, CCA
Strong computer proficiency
Excellent written and verbal communication
Good interpersonal and people-handling skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Experience Level
6 months to 2 years of professional experience in medical coding
Physical Requirements
Ability to work at a computer for 6–8 hours daily
Ability to manage constant interruptions in a dynamic environment
Occasional lifting of materials up to 20 lbs
Capacity to handle deadline-driven tasks with varying stress levels
