Position Overview

Clarivate is seeking an Epidemiologist to join our Life Sciences & Healthcare team in Bangalore. In this role, you will conduct analytical research and perform systematic literature reviews (published and grey literature) to evaluate the epidemiology of assigned diseases and risk factors, including incidence and prevalence estimates over 10–20-year periods.

You will leverage large datasets such as NHANES, HCUP, cancer registries, and government survey data to forecast disease trends, develop imputation/extrapolation models, and propose proxy data sources where country-specific data are unavailable.
Additionally, you will contribute to global consulting projects, database enhancements, and new product development initiatives across the company.


About You – Experience, Education, Skills & Accomplishments

  • Education: Master’s degree in Epidemiology or Public Health

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of Systematic Literature Review (SLR) experience

  • Skills:

    • Strong methodological foundation in epidemiology

    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

    • Ability to interpret and synthesize large volumes of literature and data


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in client interaction and stakeholder communication

  • Hands-on experience in large dataset analysis

  • Claims data analysis experience using SQL and/or Python

  • Exposure to Oncology-related research

  • Familiarity with Real-World Data (RWD) and SAS tools


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive systematic literature reviews of published and grey literature sources

  • Utilize epidemiological datasets (NHANES, HCUP, registries, government databases) to derive disease prevalence and incidence estimates

  • Develop forecast models and proxy data sources when localized data are unavailable

  • Contribute to database maintenance, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information

  • Support global consulting projects and cross-functional initiatives

  • Provide analytical insights and evidence-based findings to support client deliverables


About the Team

The Epidemiology team comprises 40+ professionals located across the U.S., Canada, and India. The team specializes in developing robust epidemiological insights to guide strategic decisions for global healthcare clients.


Work Hours

🕛 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM IST (Monday to Friday)
🏠 Hybrid Work Model – Bangalore
