Job Title: Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prevent and eliminate injury and sickness to employees by assisting companies in complying with safety laws in a systematic and organized manner.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of the workplace and machinery to minimize or eliminate potential hazards such as incorrect working methods, high noise levels, contaminated drinking water, polluted air quality, and toxic chemicals.
  • Protect employees, customers, and the environment by identifying potential biological, chemical, and radiological hazards, collecting samples, and analyzing them.
  • Participate in environmental monitoring programs and inspections as applicable.
  • Conduct periodic hazard inspections and recommend changes in products, machinery, or processes to improve worker safety.
  • Provide in-house training to educate employees about safety and investigate past accidents to identify causes and prevent future incidents.
  • Maintain documentation for processes, SOPs, and machinery related to government regulations.
  • Foster good relationships with government regulatory authorities.
  • Conduct surface drill operations and manage exploration camp facilities.
  • Perform internal EHS audits and prepare an EHS plan for projects according to contract requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory provisions and maintain necessary documents.
  • Raise awareness about safety across the company.
  • Ensure timely procurement and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct daily site inspections, identify risks, organize and conduct safety meetings, attend internal and external audits, investigate accidents to determine root causes, and organize safety campaigns.
  • Provide training on safety, carry out mock drills, offer first aid training, and identify cost-cutting opportunities in protective equipment without compromising safety.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in EHS, Engineering, or related field.
