Job Summary:
Wipro is currently hiring a Drug Safety Analyst - Literature Specialist for our Pune location. This position is ideal for candidates with 4+ years of experience in Pharmacovigilance and a strong understanding of bibliographic databases and search libraries. If you have experience crafting and executing search strategies and a deep understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, this role could be a great fit for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution and implementation of data acquisition and management processes supporting Pharmacovigilance activities.
  • Construct and execute optimized search strategies on biomedical databases and content aggregators (e.g., OVID, Embase, Medline, PubMed).
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, drug nomenclature, drug class hierarchies, and medical terminologies.
  • Perform comprehensive reviews of scientific literature to support health agency requests and product submissions.
  • Stay updated on relevant technologies to enhance content acquisition processes.
  • Interact with external vendors and content partners.
  • Liaise with inter- and intra-team members to meet business objectives and ensure smooth process execution.
  • Drive efficiencies with an innovative mindset to meet customer needs.
  • Demonstrate high learning agility to adopt new tools and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • PhD, Pharm D, M.Pharm, B.Pharm, BDS, B. Tech/M.Tech (Life Sciences), M.Sc./B.Sc. (Life Sciences).
  • 4+ years of experience in Pharmacovigilance with hands-on experience in bibliographic databases and search libraries.
  • Strong experience in constructing search strategies using databases such as OVID, EMBASE, MEDLINE.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in bibliographic datasets and content libraries.
  • Proven experience in conducting literature searches using pharmaceutical databases and resources.
  • Knowledge of medical terminologies and search syntax.
  • Ability to analyze scientific literature to support regulatory submissions and health agency requests.
