Associate/Professor and Director, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology

Job Overview:

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (UC) is seeking a Division Director for the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology within the Department of Internal Medicine. This leadership role will oversee the division's clinical care, research, and education missions. The Director will provide guidance, mentoring, and administrative support while collaborating with other departments and academic institutions. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine, the Director will manage a diverse team of academicians, fostering an environment of excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead clinical services, ensuring quality-driven consultative and procedural care within UC Physicians and the Primary Care Network.
  • Develop strategies for expanding clinical and basic science research.
  • Formulate plans for optimal utilization of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
  • Set clinical productivity targets and manage divisional finances.
  • Participate in the Department of Internal Medicine Chair’s Council of Champions.
  • Oversee faculty and staff recruitment, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster collaboration with other departments to enhance interdisciplinary care and initiatives.
  • Support new initiatives, including telemedicine, to expand reach beyond the local campus.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree.
  • Board certification in Rheumatology or Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology.
  • Unrestricted Ohio Medical License.
  • At least 10 years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership and management experience at a medical facility.
