Your Role:

  • Project Oversight: Manage complex or multi-country projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee Project Managers in the complete project lifecycle. Review and approve project plans, work breakdown structure, schedules, and budgets.
  • Project Review & Support: Participate in key project review meetings, analyze project performance reports, and approve operational changes or adjustments to project plans as necessary.
  • Escalation Management: Act as the point of escalation for issues related to project scope, timeline, resources, and changes. Work with Project Management Branch Head and Sponsors to address concerns and develop action plans.
  • Team Development: Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring, and training to Project Managers and teams. Foster a culture of transparency, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Resource Allocation: Assist in assessing resource utilization and allocation, ensuring that the right resources are assigned to each project.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with key Sponsor personnel, ensuring open communication and identifying opportunities for future business.
  • Quality Oversight: Ensure quality throughout the project lifecycle, identifying common trends and process gaps with Quality Assurance for improvements.
  • Business Development: Support Project Managers and Commercial Operations Account Managers in project acquisition activities. Contribute to client presentations, RFP reviews, bid defenses, and initial bids.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other Directors to assess interdependencies between projects and ensure alignment and harmonization across the organization.
  • Strategic Alignment: Partner with the Project Management Branch Head to ensure projects are delivered in alignment with the company’s mission, vision, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Your Profile:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline preferred.
  • Experience: At least 14 years of experience in managing large, multi-country project operations, with a strong preference for clinical research industry experience.
  • Leadership: Minimum 11 years of experience in supervising and managing large, cross-functional teams.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, project management, and strategic planning skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Project Management processes and understanding of ICH GCP and applicable regulatory requirements.
