Position Overview

Novartis is seeking a highly experienced Director, Platform Enablement – RLT & RLI to lead strategic initiatives within US Medical Affairs. This fully remote role focuses on enabling Radioligand Therapy (RLT) and Radioligand Imaging (RLI) across diverse treatment ecosystems, driving large-scale strategy execution, and addressing non-clinical barriers to patient access.

The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams in the US and globally, guide multi-workstream initiatives, and support the development and integration of platform-level medical strategies for both approved and pipeline products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale, enterprise-level initiatives that support RLT and RLI enablement across various treatment archetypes and healthcare ecosystems.
• Drive alignment, define strategic direction, and oversee multi-workstream execution to remove barriers that limit appropriate patient access to RLT.
• Partner with the Head of RLT Enablement and Medical Strategy Teams (MST) to execute platform enablement strategies.
• Collaborate with Medical Strategy Teams (MST) and Integrated Product Strategy Teams (IPST) to guide product and platform direction.
• Support launch planning and post-launch initiatives by contributing to strategic planning and leading platform-level medical projects.
• Develop and execute scalable education strategies for internal teams and external healthcare professionals to support RLT and RLI platforms.
• Implement innovative communication solutions, including digital channels, to address scientific and strategic gaps.
• Contribute to the development of comprehensive medical engagement plans incorporating diverse medical capabilities.
• Build strong relationships with national, regional, and local medical experts including investigators and academic centers.
• Support advisory boards, collaborate with Field Medical Teams, and guide insight-gathering activities.
• Maintain productive partnerships with global colleagues, cross-functional partners, and external organizations.

Minimum Experience Required

Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, radioligand therapy, or imaging.
Minimum 5 years of experience in product strategy, medical communication agencies, medical affairs roles, medical education, or academic/clinical practice.
• Proven experience leading large-scale business planning processes, including strategy development, goal-setting, and performance metrics.
• Experience in Oncology Therapeutic Areas preferred, with demonstrated interaction with US healthcare providers and academic researchers.
• Direct clinical research experience or in-depth understanding of clinical operations, trial networks, and patient recruitment strategies.
• Strong track record of collaboration with medical experts, investigators, and professional societies.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional medical projects.
• Excellent presentation skills, interpersonal communication, and relationship management capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort navigating complex systems.
• Prior US-based experience strongly preferred.

Education Requirements

• Advanced degree in a scientific, medical, or health-related discipline required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Expected annual salary range: USD 204,400 – 379,600, based on experience, geographic location, and skill profile.
• Total compensation may include sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, discretionary awards, and a comprehensive suite of medical and financial benefits.
• Benefits package includes 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick leave, and parental leave.
• Employment is at-will, with compensation subject to modification based on performance and market factors.
