Job Overview

The company is hiring a Director, Pharmacy – Early Phase Clinical Trials responsible for leading pharmacy operations supporting early-phase clinical research studies within a cGMP environment.

The role involves overseeing investigational product preparation, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing pharmacy teams, and contributing to study design, execution, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Pharmacy Leadership & Strategy

Provide strategic direction for pharmacy operations aligned with organizational goals.

Serve as the primary pharmaceutical expert across clinical trials.

Guide feasibility assessments and contribute to protocol development.

  1. Clinical Trial Support

Act as lead pharmacist supporting clinical trials from protocol design through study completion.

Ensure timely and accurate investigational product preparation and dosing.

Coordinate with clinical operations to meet protocol-driven timelines.

  1. Investigational Product Management

Ensure compliant preparation, storage, and dispensing of investigational products.

Maintain pharmacy facilities in accordance with required standards.

Support dispensing activities as needed.

  1. Regulatory Compliance & Quality

Ensure adherence to cGMP, GxP, and USP <797>, <795>, and <800> standards.

Maintain inspection readiness and support audits and regulatory interactions.

Lead SOP development, quality systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  1. Team Leadership & Development

Oversee staffing, hiring, training, and performance management of pharmacy staff.

Drive competency development and professional growth within the team.

Manage workflow and ensure efficient resource utilization.

Partner with clients, sponsors, and internal teams on clinical trial execution.

Participate in sponsor visits, feasibility discussions, and proposal reviews.
