Job Summary

IQVIA is seeking a Director of Pharmacokinetics to lead and manage clinical pharmacology PK/PD operations for global drug development studies. This home-based role (within the US or Canada) is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in pharmacokinetics, drug development, and regulatory submissions who are ready to make an impact across multiple clinical phases. The position offers strategic influence, leadership responsibilities, and the chance to shape the future of IQVIA’s Clinical Pharmacology division.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design clinical development plans, Phase I–IV protocols, statistical analysis plans, and study reports

  • Lead and manage PK/PD resources and project allocation

  • Oversee quality control, data integrity, and timely delivery of PK/PD deliverables

  • Prepare global regulatory submission materials related to PK/PD

  • Mentor and train junior scientists within the Clinical Pharmacology team

  • Serve as liaison across internal departments and external clients

  • Support business development through proposal writing and client interactions

  • Manage staff, performance reviews, and professional development planning


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years in clinical pharmacology and PK/PD roles, with leadership experience

  • Education:

    • Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutics, or related field (preferred)

    • Master’s or PharmD in Pharmacy or similar field (acceptable)

  • In-depth knowledge of drug development, regulatory submissions, and pharmacokinetic principles

  • Expertise in noncompartmental analysis (WinNonLin preferred)

  • Proficiency in population PK modeling software (R, NONMEM preferred)

  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a matrix and multicultural environment
