Job Summary:
The Director, Clinical Development, will be a key leader in the Hematology/Oncology Therapeutic Area, responsible for global clinical development plans, protocol development, regulatory interactions, and external collaborations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and medical input for clinical programs, clinical protocols, clinical study reports, and regulatory documents.

  • Collaborate with clinical development, operations, biostatistics, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, and early development teams to ensure the execution of quality clinical trials.

  • Serve as a medical monitor for Hematology/Oncology trials, making safety recommendations and working with CROs and study investigators.

  • Review, interpret, and approve safety and efficacy data for regulatory submissions, including IND and NDA filings.

  • Provide strategic input on new product concepts, long-term strategic plans, and life-cycle management opportunities.

  • Engage with external experts to integrate clinical practice and guidelines into global development plans.

  • Build and manage relationships with external collaborators, clinical investigators, and cooperative groups in the US and internationally.

  • Serve as a clinical resource for inquiries from internal teams, investigators, consultants, and corporate stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of academic and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.

  • Demonstrated expertise in global clinical development in Hematology/Oncology.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of GCP, Drug Safety, MedDRA safety coding, and Pharmacovigilance processes.

  • Values-based leadership and effective problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 30-40% for short periods.

Education & Licensure:

  • MD or equivalent is required.

  • Board Eligibility/Certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology is preferred.

  • US licensure and/or clinical practice experience is preferred.

Compensation:

  • Base pay range: $240,000.00 - $360,000.00 (dependent on qualifications, experience, and internal equity).

  • Eligible for discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation.

  • Participation in Jazz Pharmaceuticals' Long-Term Equity Incentive Plan.
