Job Summary:
The Director, Clinical Development, will be a key leader in the Hematology/Oncology Therapeutic Area, responsible for global clinical development plans, protocol development, regulatory interactions, and external collaborations.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and medical input for clinical programs, clinical protocols, clinical study reports, and regulatory documents.
Collaborate with clinical development, operations, biostatistics, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, and early development teams to ensure the execution of quality clinical trials.
Serve as a medical monitor for Hematology/Oncology trials, making safety recommendations and working with CROs and study investigators.
Review, interpret, and approve safety and efficacy data for regulatory submissions, including IND and NDA filings.
Provide strategic input on new product concepts, long-term strategic plans, and life-cycle management opportunities.
Engage with external experts to integrate clinical practice and guidelines into global development plans.
Build and manage relationships with external collaborators, clinical investigators, and cooperative groups in the US and internationally.
Serve as a clinical resource for inquiries from internal teams, investigators, consultants, and corporate stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of academic and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.
Demonstrated expertise in global clinical development in Hematology/Oncology.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of GCP, Drug Safety, MedDRA safety coding, and Pharmacovigilance processes.
Values-based leadership and effective problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel up to 30-40% for short periods.
Education & Licensure:
MD or equivalent is required.
Board Eligibility/Certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology is preferred.
US licensure and/or clinical practice experience is preferred.
Compensation:
Base pay range: $240,000.00 - $360,000.00 (dependent on qualifications, experience, and internal equity).
Eligible for discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation.
Participation in Jazz Pharmaceuticals' Long-Term Equity Incentive Plan.
