About the Job

Sanofi's Risk-Based Monitoring (RBM) team is looking for a Data Scientist to help drive clinical trial success by ensuring data integrity, optimizing monitoring processes, and improving patient safety. This role involves setting up and refreshing the RBM application for studies, ensuring smooth data flow, and configuring the system to meet both regulatory requirements and Sanofi’s standards for quality and efficiency.

As a Data Scientist, you'll work collaboratively with Central Monitors and Lead Data Scientists, using data to improve clinical trial performance. If you're passionate about data science and its impact on healthcare, this is a great opportunity to advance your career.


Main Responsibilities

Data Extraction and Processing

  • Extract data from various systems and preprocess it for accuracy and reliability to support the clinical monitoring processes.

Dashboard Management

  • Lead the setup and updating of key performance dashboards (KRI, DQA, QTL, SPOT) within timelines, adhering to best practices.

Script Execution and Updates

  • Execute and update SAS and Python scripts to adjust parameters and meet study-specific needs.

Collaborative Problem Solving

  • Work closely with Central Monitors and Lead Data Scientists to interpret results and signals, facilitating effective RBM activities.


About You

Experience

  • Experience in a Clinical Research Environment (CRO or Pharma).

  • Clinical Data Programming experience using SAS, Python, or R.

Soft & Technical Skills

  • Critical Thinking: Use pragmatic, objective methods to solve complex problems.

  • Adaptability: Quickly learn new tools and techniques.

  • SAS Programming: Capable of developing solutions from scratch.

  • Clinical Knowledge: Familiarity with clinical trial documentation, e.g., Protocol, SDS, and CRF.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a global team.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a life science or mathematics-related field (e.g., computer science).

Languages

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
