Job Title:

CRA II & Sr. CRA – Ophthalmology & Gen Med (Remote, USA)


Job Summary:

Fortrea, a global leader in Contract Research Organization (CRO) services, is hiring experienced CRA II & Sr. CRAs specializing in Ophthalmology and General Medicine. This is a fully remote opportunity across multiple US locations, offering candidates the chance to contribute to pivotal clinical studies in varied therapeutic areas. Successful candidates will manage site monitoring activities, ensure data integrity, and lead clinical operations to uphold the highest standards in drug development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all aspects of study site monitoring including initiation, routine monitoring, and close-out visits.

  • Manage site files and liaise with vendors as per project plans.

  • Ensure study staff receive proper training and materials to execute protocol requirements.

  • Protect study patients by verifying adherence to informed consent and regulatory standards.

  • Review and resolve data queries; ensure accuracy of Case Report Forms (CRFs).

  • Handle Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reporting, narrative writing, and follow-ups.

  • Assist in training new staff and perform co-monitoring activities as needed.

  • Coordinate local project operations and act as a client contact when assigned.

  • Support feasibility assessments and registry management as required.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related allied health field.

  • 1–3+ years of Clinical Monitoring experience essential.

  • Prior experience in Ophthalmology trials preferred.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, technology-driven environments.

  • Strong problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork skills.

  • Proficient in electronic data systems for clinical research documentation.
