Job Title: Medical Writer (Contract)

Job Overview

The Contract Medical Writer is responsible for editing, reviewing, and developing clinical procedures and related documentation. The role includes collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure documents align with the company’s style guide, high writing standards, and regulatory expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and perform quality control (QC) reviews of clinical procedures

  • Collaborate with process owners, SMEs, and stakeholders to develop or revise clinical documentation

  • Ensure adherence to company style guide, writing standards, and document formatting templates

  • Maintain consistency and accuracy across procedures, forms, and templates


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant medical writing experience

  • Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience is required

  • Strong editing, writing, and QC review background

  • Familiarity with clinical development and drug development lifecycle

  • Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS)

  • Proficiency in creating and using structured templates

  • Knowledge of writing standards and guidelines


Work Environment

  • Hybrid model: 4 days in office, 1 day remote per week

  • Office location: South San Francisco, CA
