Consulting Manager – Life Sciences (Remote) | $130K–$145K | Cognizant

Job Summary

Cognizant is hiring a Consulting Manager for its Life Sciences Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) practice. This remote, full-time role is ideal for professionals with 10+ years of pharma/life sciences experience across Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, or Quality domains. As a strategic leader, you'll optimize regulated processes, deliver transformational consulting, and shape digital adoption across global life sciences enterprises. If you bring strong domain knowledge, consulting experience, and digital acumen, this opportunity will elevate your career in a fast-evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as an expert on life sciences processes, regulations (GxP, SOX, 21 CFR Part 11), and trends
Lead discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews to assess and map current-state processes
Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions using value-stream mapping and root cause analysis
Align business needs with automation solutions (RPA, low-code tools, Veeva, SAP, Oracle)
Collaborate with technical teams to validate solutions and support pilot implementation
Present findings to executives and technical stakeholders with data-backed insights
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to playbooks and internal knowledge sharing
Stay current with AI/ML, advanced analytics, and evolving compliance standards in life sciences

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years in life sciences, especially in Clinical, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, or Quality
Proven expertise in process optimization and regulatory compliance
Prior consulting experience or cross-functional leadership on transformation projects
Familiarity with life sciences tech platforms (Veeva Vault, SAP, Oracle, UiPath, Power Platform)
Strong skills in process mapping, gap analysis, and data storytelling
Excellent communication for engaging technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with global pharma clients and distributed teams
Exposure to AI, ML, and analytics in regulated environments
Certifications: Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalent

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $130,000–$145,000 per year (based on experience)
