🎯 Role Purpose

The need for high-quality Health Economic & Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Real-World Evidence (RWE) is rapidly increasing to support:

  • Drug development

  • Health Technology Assessment (HTA) decisions

  • Market access and reimbursement

  • Clinical decision-making

  • Product differentiation

The Consultant/Senior Consultant in Lilly Bengaluru HEOR will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for a therapeutic area

  • Support the execution of global HEOR projects

  • Coordinate with International HTA teams, Therapy Area teams, and Project Management

  • Lead capability development within the team


🧠 Key Responsibilities

1. Document Preparation & Management (40%)

  • Provide technical expertise for planning, writing, editing, and reviewing HTA-related documents

  • Perform quality checks to ensure data accuracy

  • Compile reviewer comments, revise content, and prepare final deliverables

  • Lead the development of multiple document types such as:

    • Reimbursement dossiers

    • Value messages

    • Evidence summaries

  • Ensure smooth and timely document development across teams

  • Negotiate content and timelines when required


2. Knowledge & Skills Development (30%)

  • Maintain deep knowledge of disease areas, compounds, and therapy landscape

  • Stay updated with health outcomes research, including:

    • RWE studies

    • PRO (patient-reported outcomes)

    • Economic evaluations

    • Value messaging

    • Reimbursement submissions

  • Lead scientific data disclosure planning and regulatory/scientific responses

  • Provide informal coaching and share technical expertise with team members

  • Network globally to share best practices and track industry trends

  • Support cross-functional training and mentoring initiatives


3. Operational & Organizational Leadership (25%)

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards

  • Represent Lilly Bengaluru HEOR in cross-functional teams

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and capability development within the HEOR organization

  • Oversee effective execution of project plans—ensuring timely, relevant, and reliable deliverables

  • Collaborate across functions to assess risks and implement solutions

  • Participate in activities related to rewards, recognition, team building, and diversity


4. Capabilities Development & Stakeholder Value (5%)

  • Promote awareness of HEOR capabilities across IVA/GMA HEOR teams

  • Assess and introduce new capabilities and opportunities

  • Represent the team in senior leadership meetings to showcase accomplishments


🎓 Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Doctoral (PhD, DrPH, ScD, MD), Master’s, or PharmD degree

  • 7+ years of experience in health outcomes/health economics

  • 3+ years project management or portfolio management experience

  • Strong technical and scientific expertise

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills

  • Ability to diagnose problems, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability across diverse teams
