Job Overview

ICON plc is seeking an experienced Clinical Trial Manager (CTM) with strong leadership in clinical operations and project management to manage end-to-end clinical trial execution.

This is an office-based individual contributor role that requires the ability to manage high-pressure timelines, global teams, and multiple clinical sites while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage local clinical trial activities in compliance with protocol, ICH-GCP, and SOPs.

  • Oversee site selection, study start-up, monitoring, and close-out activities.

  • Coordinate with investigators, site teams, vendors, and global study teams.

  • Ensure timely delivery of study milestones and resolve risks or issues impacting timelines.

  • Drive quality oversight, performance metrics, and monitoring excellence across study sites.

  • Ensure inspection readiness and support regulatory audits and inspections.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to Clinical Research Associates (CRAs).


Required Experience & Skills

  • 12+ years of experience in Clinical Operations with strong onsite monitoring experience.

  • 2–3 years of study leadership or project management experience.

  • Strong understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience managing trials in Oncology, Cardiology, or Pulmonology.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage high-pressure clinical trial timelines and complex study environments.
