Job Overview

Optum is seeking a dedicated Clinical Administration Coordinator to join its Medical & Clinical Operations team in Bengaluru. This role is ideal for professionals with strong customer service experience, healthcare administrative knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

The selected candidate will support clinical operations by managing member intake, coordinating healthcare service requests, handling referrals and prior authorizations, and assisting clinical teams with case management activities.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume customer service role requiring efficiency, accuracy, adaptability, and strong stakeholder interaction skills.


Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Administration Coordinator, you will:

Member & Clinical Support Operations

  • Manage administrative intake processes for healthcare members.
  • Coordinate with:
    • Hospitals
    • Clinics
    • Healthcare facilities
    • Clinical teams
    • Providers
  • Support requests for healthcare services from members and providers.
  • Assist in managing member cases and service coordination activities.

Referral & Authorization Management

  • Process:
    • Incoming referrals
    • Outgoing referrals
    • Prior authorizations
    • Service notifications
    • Census-related administrative workflows
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of service requests.

Clinical Case Coordination

  • Support clinical staff by:
    • Preparing documentation
    • Organizing case files
    • Setting up triage cases
    • Assisting with Clinical Coverage Review workflows
  • Maintain workflow efficiency and documentation accuracy.

Customer Service & Issue Resolution

  • Handle member and provider inquiries professionally.
  • Resolve service-related issues, concerns, and administrative requests.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service across all interactions.
  • Conduct live outreach and member communication when required.
  • Educate members regarding program services and healthcare benefits.

Compliance & Operational Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to:
    • Company operational policies
    • Employment compliance requirements
    • Clinical administrative procedures
    • Internal documentation standards
  • Adapt to changing business needs, schedules, team structures, and operational processes as required.
  • Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in all member interactions.

Required Qualifications

Education

Experience
