Company Overview

LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Quality Analyst / Point of Care Coordinator to join the team in Wichita, KS. The Quality Assurance team provides support to laboratories and senior management, ensuring quality results, regulatory compliance, and improved patient/provider satisfaction. This role manages point of care instruments, testing competencies, quality control, and reagent/supply management for bedside testing units.


Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide data and support for quality improvement initiatives

  • Schedule, conduct, and report on QA audits and inspections

  • Ensure readiness for inspections and maintain required documentation

  • Participate in regulatory and accrediting agency inspections

  • Draft responses to regulatory complaints and inspections

  • Stay current with regulatory and proficiency testing requirements

  • Participate in monthly Quality Meetings and compose minutes

  • Serve as a resource for regulatory compliance and point of care (POC) testing

  • Manage POC instruments, reagents, QC materials, and competencies

  • Monitor middleware for barcode scanning, testing, and resulting errors

  • Oversee analyzer/cartridge failures and coordinate service or replacements

  • Develop and validate new POC test setups, including project management and policy authorship

  • Provide administrative, technical, and educational guidance on POC testing

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards for safety and POC testing

  • Review, analyze, and report POC quality control and compliance data

  • Provide guidance and leadership for POC functions across multiple departments


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology

  • 2+ years experience as a Medical Technologist in a core lab setting

  • Prior experience in a quality-related role preferred

  • Familiarity with electronic data management systems (e.g., MasterControl) is a plus

  • General knowledge of laboratory regulations (TJC/CLIA/FDA/FACT) and licensing requirements

  • ASCP certification preferred

  • Strong understanding of audit requirements and quality assurance/management best practices

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office programs
