Position Title: Clinical Lab Professional
Location: Ascension Seton Hays, Kyle, TX
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (External candidates only)

Work Schedule:

Shift 3: 4x10 hours, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM with rotating weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

Determine specimen acceptability for testing per established criteria.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot lab instrumentation to ensure functionality.
Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Report accurate and timely test results to ensure quality patient care.
Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
Identify and replenish necessary testing bench supplies.
Assist with specimen processing as needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to appropriate safety protocols.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience required, or an MLS degree.
ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
High attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen.
Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts based on business needs.
