Role Overview:
Abbott is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Fellow to provide clinical expertise and drive evidence generation for next-generation leadless and conduction system pacing technologies. The Clinical Fellow will support R&D initiatives, guiding the design, development, and evaluation of innovative cardiac devices. This role will interface with global key opinion leaders (KOLs), regulatory stakeholders, and internal teams to advance product development and clinical adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pre-clinical and clinical feasibility evaluations of prototypes, including study planning, execution, data collection, analysis, and publication.

  • Engage global KOLs to solicit clinical insights, identify unmet needs, and obtain feedback on iterative prototype testing.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to provide clinical and testing reports for regulatory submissions.

  • Drive clinical evidence generation to support adoption of novel technologies in clinical practice.

  • Contribute to scientific publications, presentations, and dissemination of research findings.

  • Support multiple R&D and R&T programs, including both transvenous and leadless cardiac devices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD or PhD with cardiovascular expertise.

  • Strong working knowledge of medical device quality systems and regulatory standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in the Electrophysiology (EP) or Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) industry.

  • Demonstrated experience in clinical research, medical device development, and KOL engagement.
