This position is part of Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx) by Labcorp, a division focused on advancing genetic and genomic testing.


🧬 Position Overview

The Clinical Data Specialist plays a key role in performing and reporting genetic analyses using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies within a CAP/CLIA-certified laboratory.
This role supports both research and clinical testing, ensuring data accuracy, process improvement, and high-quality service delivery.


🧭 Key Responsibilities

Genetic Analysis & Reporting

  • Perform and report genetic analysis results for both research and clinical use cases.

  • Act as a second line of quality control (QC) on results before final report release.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor sample and project status, addressing potential issues promptly.

  • Ensure accurate, detailed, and accessible records are maintained per procedural protocols.

  • Deliver high-quality outputs and maintain exceptional service levels for customers.

Process & Performance Improvement

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and workflow optimization.

  • Support focused analyses to evaluate analytical and clinical performance of new testing modalities.

  • Participate in test performance monitoring and data output tracking.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and resolve issues efficiently.


🎓 Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Genomics or a related Biology concentration (Required)

  • Experience:

    • 2+ years of experience in relevant areas (Preferred):

      • Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)

      • Cancer Genomics

      • Clinical Data Reporting


💰 Compensation

  • Pay Range: $75,000 – $85,000 (USD)

Final offers based on skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market data.
