Clinical Data Lead – ICON plc | United States

Job Summary

ICON plc is hiring a Clinical Data Lead to oversee end-to-end clinical data management for global studies. Based in the United States, this role is perfect for experienced professionals with 5+ years in data management who can lead data flow strategies, design CRFs, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate study-specific training. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for clinical data management across assigned studies

  • Define and optimize study-specific data flow processes

  • Create and maintain robust documentation including CRFs, DMPs, and DB specifications

  • Perform UAT of clinical databases and validate edit checks

  • Conduct data entry training and ensure high data quality across teams

  • Oversee discrepancy resolution and escalate issues as needed

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal SOPs


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in clinical data management

  • Strong understanding of CRF design, clinical database requirements, and GCP compliance

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in life sciences or related field

  • Experience in user acceptance testing and database validation

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and team leadership skills
