Overview:
Cognizant is seeking an experienced Client Relationship Manager (CRM) to join the Health Life Sciences (HLS) business unit. This position plays a key role in managing client relationships, driving business growth, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the Life Sciences domain. The CRM will act as a business owner for assigned accounts, managing day-to-day activities and client expectations while building trusted relationships with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of their business environment, priorities, and challenges.
  • Collaborate with clients to define their problems and co-create effective solutions.
  • Lead RFPs, proactive bids, and renewals, ensuring the extension and expansion of client agreements.
  • Monitor and track Health Life Sciences industry trends, bringing forward proactive ideas and solutions that add value to clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and a smooth client experience.
  • Manage and grow client backlog, including renewals and extensions of current engagements.
  • Lead and guide the onsite project teams to ensure alignment with the client's needs and expectations.
  • Contribute to the client’s success by driving service excellence and working closely with delivery teams.

Measures of Success:

  • CRM-specific measures: renewal win rates, revenue growth, margin improvement.
  • Shared measures: client satisfaction, employee retention, overall account health.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably within a consulting firm or IT professional services (offshore/outsourcing industry).
  • Domain expertise in HCLS (Health & Life Sciences), Health Sciences, Healthcare, and Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience managing Client P&L of $15+ million, including reporting and metric assessment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Strong background in project management and application development.
  • Proven ability to contribute to new business development and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex assignments and identify strategic solutions to business challenges.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work across diverse corporate environments, industries, and technical/non-technical audiences.
