Job Overview

We are seeking skilled Client Partners – Inpatient Medical Coders (IP/DRG) to join our Noida team at Pacific BPO, an Access Healthcare company. This role offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career in healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) while contributing directly to inpatient coding accuracy and compliance.

The role involves reviewing inpatient and observation medical records, assigning precise diagnosis and procedure codes (ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT), and supporting clinical documentation improvement (CDI) and MS-DRG compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain working knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS coding principles, UHDDS guidelines, AHA coding clinic updates, and third-party documentation requirements

  • Manage physician queries in compliance with OIG and UHDDS regulations

  • Apply knowledge of MS-DRG, MDC, AP-DRG, APR-DRG, CC, and MCC for inpatient coding

  • Review and code medical records with 95% internal accuracy, ensuring turnaround times and productivity standards are met

  • Identify deviations and coding discrepancies and escalate promptly

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to prevent revenue leakage and enhance compliance

  • Update coding skills through team meetings, educational conferences, and periodic refresher trainings

  • Use hospital-specific encoder tools such as 3M, Trucode, or similar

Experience Required

  • 1–4 years of experience in inpatient hospital coding or IP/DRG coding

  • CCS or CIC certification with hospital coding experience preferred

  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing systems, ICD/CPT codes, and regulatory requirements

Education & Qualification

  • Graduate in life sciences

  • Commitment to undergo AAPC/AHIMA-sponsored in-house certification training
