Responsibilities:

  • Medical Expertise: Build and maintain medical/scientific knowledge for the respective product and therapeutic area.
  • Medical Input for IBP: Provide medical insights to support the execution of the Integrated Brand Plan (IBP).
  • Local Medical Activities: Plan, execute, and monitor the effectiveness of local medical initiatives.
  • External Expert Engagement:
    • Act as the primary medical contact with external experts (spending over 70% of working time).
    • Engage with clinicians, scientific societies, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and drive awareness of Boehringer Ingelheim products in the clinical and academic communities.
  • Cross-functional Contribution: Provide medical expertise to support various cross-functional activities.
  • Training: Provide medical training to ensure adequate product knowledge for internal teams (FF and other departments).
  • Program Coordination: Coordinate and monitor local medical programs such as non-interventional studies, IIS, and compassionate use programs.

Requirements:

  • Education: University degree in a medical/scientific field is required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years working as a medical representative in an international pharmaceutical company.
    • Experience in generating and interpreting scientific data and applying evidence-based medicine principles.
  • Skills:
    • Strong business acumen, with knowledge of marketing, customer needs, and compliance.
    • Strong expertise in managing external experts.
    • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Digital proficiency and experience in digital communication.
    • Upper-intermediate English proficiency.
