Job Overview

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of the organization. This position requires a highly motivated and experienced professional with 6-8 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within a relevant industry (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, etc.). The individual in this role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and leading strategies to expand the company's portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to identify and pursue new market opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, key industry stakeholders, and partners.
  • Lead sales efforts to promote the company’s products or services, including cold calling, meetings, and presentations.
  • Negotiate and close business deals, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and contracts to clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align strategies and enhance market offerings.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of market demands and changes.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Manage and track sales targets, revenue growth, and performance metrics.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities and progress to senior management.
  • Maintain CRM systems and databases to track customer information, sales activities, and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industries.
  • Strong experience in negotiating and closing deals, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess market trends and opportunities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong negotiation skills and an understanding of contract terms and conditions.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to achieving business development goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with international business development and expanding into new geographical markets.
