Business Analyst – Clinical (Veeva, IDMP, CTMS) | $60K–$109K | Hybrid – USA
Job Summary
Cognizant is hiring a skilled Business Analyst with strong clinical systems experience to support life sciences clients in engineering end-to-end healthcare solutions. This role requires deep domain knowledge in Veeva Vault RIM, IDMP, CTMS, QMS, and GxP-compliant systems. The ideal candidate will support clinical and regulatory initiatives using advanced automation tools and will collaborate across cross-functional teams. This is a hybrid position with a competitive salary range of $60,325 – $109,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business, IT, security, and implementation teams to define end-to-end business processes
Gather and analyze business and system requirements; translate into technical documentation
Support deployment of clinical and regulatory systems including RPA or AI-driven automation
Develop, validate, and trace test scenarios and scripts aligned with regulatory requirements
Participate in sprint planning and ensure timely delivery of functional outputs
Identify and escalate risks, issues, and deviations during implementation
Ensure compliance with client SOPs, templates, standards, and validation protocols
Engage with global teams and manage stakeholder communications
Required Skills & Qualifications
7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in clinical or pharma domains
Proven knowledge of SDLC, system validation, and compliance frameworks
Hands-on experience with:
CTMS systems, Veeva Vault RIM, IDMP, QMS, SCP, Quality docs
Documentum suite (Webtop), GitHub, MS Project, eCTD viewer
JIRA, Confluence, HPQC, and business process modeling tools
Bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, or pharmaceutical discipline
Preferred: Advanced degree (MBA, MS) and certifications (IIBA, Veeva, Agile)
Experience working in global environments and interacting with senior stakeholders
