Role Summary

The Biostatistician I supports lead or senior biostatisticians in clinical research projects, including preparation of statistical analysis plans (SAPs), programming specifications, and quality control of project deliverables. May act as a backup to the lead biostatistician for sponsor interactions on assigned projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), including mock-up tables, listings, and figures; collaborate with sponsors if needed.

  • Create or review programming specifications for analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures.

  • Review annotated case report forms (CRFs), database design, and study documentation to ensure protocol compliance.

  • Perform verification and quality control of outputs, ensuring alignment with SAP and programming specifications.

  • Assist in other statistical responsibilities such as randomization and sample size estimation.

  • Manage scheduling and workload across multiple projects under guidance from Lead Biostatistician.

  • Provide statistical programming support as needed.

  • Prepare for internal meetings, contribute ideas, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

  • Follow SOPs, Work Instructions, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH).

  • Maintain well-organized project documentation and QC records, ensuring inspection readiness.

  • Perform other duties as assigned; minimal travel may be required.


Candidate Profile / Skills

  • Education: Graduate degree in biostatistics or related discipline.

  • Experience: Minimal clinical trial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Programming experience, preferably in clinical trials.

    • Knowledge of statistical design and analysis methodologies.

    • Ability to apply statistical concepts and communicate them effectively.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills.

  • Attributes:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time

    • Team player, adaptable, and detail-oriented
