Position Overview

As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing trauma-informed care and mental health services to individuals with acute and chronic mental illnesses. Working in a dynamic, acute care psychiatric setting, you will focus on:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments.
  • Delivering individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Developing and implementing personalized discharge and aftercare plans.
  • Coordinating care with community resources and providers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Flat Rate: $38.91/hour.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Master’s Degree in Human Services (e.g., Social Work, Professional Counseling).
    • Active Maryland licensure as an LMSW or LGPC (required).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience; preferred experience in acute care psychiatric settings.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in trauma-informed clinical practices, psychosocial assessments, and therapeutic interventions.
    • Strong knowledge of community resources, including Medicare/Medicaid, commercial insurances, and state/federal regulations.
    • Effective critical thinking, communication, and time management.
    • Ability to work in fast-paced, crisis environments and adapt to changing needs.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Provide psychosocial assessments to patients.
  2. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy using trauma-informed approaches.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and advocate for patient needs.
  4. Develop discharge and aftercare plans, connecting patients with community resources.
  5. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding clinical practice.
