Auxiliary Nurse - Innovaderm (Part-Time, Montreal, Canada)

Overview
Innovaderm is looking for an Auxiliary Nurse to support clinical research coordinators during patient visits in clinical trials. This part-time position (25-30 hours per week) will span 6 months and may include shifts on weekends and evenings. This role is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an interest in clinical research.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the clinical research coordinator during patient visits by performing vital signs, ECG, weight/height measurement, and venipuncture.

  • Support the coordinator during patient visits for special techniques and ensure accurate completion of research source documents.

  • Help administer study medication as required.

  • Maintain medical devices and prepare exam rooms for patient visits.

  • Prepare for patient visits in advance by organizing necessary documentation and equipment.

  • File research documents and maintain proper records.

  • Apply internal procedures effectively to ensure compliance with study protocols.

  • Keep training records up-to-date to maintain compliance with required certifications.


Ideal Profile

Education

  • Licensed Practical Nurse degree.

  • Member of L’Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec.

  • CPR certification.

Experience

  • Experience working with patients.

  • Experience in clinical research is an asset.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Bilingual in French and English (oral and written).

  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

  • Quick learner with adaptability.

  • Strong teamwork and multitasking skills.

  • High integrity, diligence, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks.
