About the Role:
Sanofi is hiring an Associate Project Manager – Externally Sponsored Research (ESR) to oversee and manage the end-to-end process of unsolicited research support requests, from submission through completion. This includes Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS) and Externally Sponsored Collaborations (ESC), ensuring all operational aspects are executed in a timely, efficient, and compliant manner aligned with global and local standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight & Management:

  • Manage all operational aspects of ESRs from submission to study closeout: SRC coordination, performance tracking, supply management, regulatory documentation, financial tracking, and reporting.

  • Ensure compliant execution of all ESR-related activities per Sanofi SOPs and external regulations (e.g., GCP, ICH, OIG, PhRMA code).

  • Maintain updated ESR data and workflows in systems such as iEnvision and SharePoint.

  • Support audit readiness by maintaining document quality, system integrity, and rapid audit response capabilities.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure timely agreements, supply deliveries, purchase orders, and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with R&D, CMO, and Product Supply teams to forecast and manage study materials.

  • Coordinate with Sanofi’s Scientific Review Committee (SRC) on concept and protocol reviews.

  • Support communication of safety updates and Dear Investigator Letters (DILs).

  • Train stakeholders and ensure proper tool/system access.

Performance & Analytics:

  • Track key milestones, metrics, KPIs, and maintain ESR dashboards.

  • Provide regular reports and performance insights to internal stakeholders.

  • Perform quality checks on ESR proposals and documents.

  • Archive all relevant ESR documents in compliance with Sanofi’s process.

Process Management:

  • Maintain robust project timelines aligned with strategic ESR goals.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to SOP updates.

  • Oversee budgeting, invoice tracking, and payment execution in coordination with senior project managers.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Degree in Medical, Pharmaceutical, or Life Sciences.

  • Experience: Strong background in project management, clinical research, or drug development. Prior experience with externally sponsored research preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Understanding of ESR/ISS program requirements.

    • Familiarity with GCP, ICH, FDA, PhRMA, and OIG standards.

    • Proficiency in iEnvision, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and clinical tracking systems.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal communication.

    • Ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and complex documentation workflows.
