Job Summary:

IQVIA is hiring an Associate Medical Director – Psychiatry to lead global medical advisory functions for clinical trials in the psychiatry domain. This role is ideal for board-certified physicians with substantial clinical research experience looking to contribute to medical monitoring, pharmacovigilance, and scientific strategy in a global CRO setting. Based in Sofia, you will support both project delivery and business development efforts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Global Medical Advisor and primary medical monitor for assigned clinical projects

  • Provide scientific guidance to project teams and clients

  • Review protocols, IBs, CRFs, and CSRs from a medical perspective

  • Address site-level queries related to patient safety, eligibility, and trial conduct

  • Attend and present at investigator and client meetings

  • Review adverse events, including SAE narratives and AE coding

  • Collaborate with the pharmacovigilance team for AE analysis and review

  • Deliver therapeutic training for internal project teams

  • Remain on-call for urgent protocol-related queries (in line with local labor laws)


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MBBS/MD) from a recognized university

  • Active medical license in home country/region

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience

  • At least 4 years in clinical trials, either as an investigator or in Pharma/CRO/Biotech

  • Specialty board certification in psychiatry

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GCP, ICH, FDA/EMA guidelines)

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills

  • Familiarity with AE/SAE reporting and clinical data analysis
