Job Overview:

IQVIA is seeking an Associate Medical Director – Endocrinologist to provide medical, clinical, and scientific advisory support across various projects. This role plays a critical part in the medical delivery lifecycle of clinical trials, functioning as the key medical expert and point of contact across internal and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

Medical Monitoring:

  • Serve as Medical Advisor on assigned trials

  • Act as primary medical contact for site personnel and clinical operations teams

  • Advise Project Leaders on medical/scientific matters

  • Provide protocol-related support including eligibility, inclusion/exclusion, and patient safety assessments

  • Conduct medical reviews of protocols, IDBs, CRFs, and CSRs

  • Deliver therapeutic area training to clinical project teams

  • Attend and present at Investigator Meetings

  • Review and clarify Adverse Events (AEs) and Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) in collaboration with Pharmacovigilance

  • Support Analysis of Similar Events (AOSE) when applicable

  • Review adverse event medical coding and patient narratives

  • Participate in project meetings (e.g., kick-offs, weekly calls, client reviews)

  • Be available 24/7 for emergent protocol-related issues

  • Coordinate the medical team and manage the medical function budget

  • Periodic travel may be required


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Medical degree from an internationally recognized institution

  • Active medical license

  • Board-certified in Endocrinology

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical medical practice post-residency

  • Experience in cardiology

  • Preferably 4+ years of experience in clinical trials (as investigator or within CRO/Pharma/Biotech industry)

  • Strong knowledge of clinical, regulatory, and therapeutic landscapes

  • Familiarity with applicable local and federal clinical research guidelines
