Role Overview:

The Associate Expert Scientific Writer – HEVA is responsible for creating and managing high-quality HEVA communication deliverables, supporting evidence-based value communication strategies for healthcare decision-makers. The role involves content creation, coaching junior/senior writers, managing publications processes, and collaborating with global and local stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

1. HEVA Communication & Content Creation:

  • Develop manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks, and other HEVA communication materials aligned with HEVA strategy and global communication plans.

  • Ensure deliverables support integrated clinical and health economic evidence for product value.

  • Maintain Core Value Decks for key products and provide updated synthesis of critical HEVA evidence.

  • Innovate HEVA value communications to inform optimal access and reimbursement decisions.

  • Create complex content independently and review/coaching content from other HEVA writers.

2. Publications & Process Management:

  • Manage end-to-end publication content development, documentation, and approvals in iEnvision (formerly Datavision/Matrix).

  • Ensure adherence to publication SOPs and compliance expectations.

  • Conduct publication-needs analysis and develop core HEVA communication processes, templates, and products.

  • Implement annual publication plans and work with selected vendors to deliver required outputs.

  • Participate in designing and/or delivering training based on stakeholder feedback.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with HEVA global and local teams, RWE teams, and scientific communication teams.

  • Prepare customized deliverables and maintain effective relationships with medical scientific community stakeholders.

  • Provide strategic support to individuals and institutions for publication purposes.

4. People & Performance:

  • Develop and maintain therapeutic area (TA) expertise.

  • Coach and support senior and junior HEVA writers.

  • Maintain high-quality, timely deliverables in line with agreed timelines and standards.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or similar discipline; medical degree preferred.

  • Experience: 5–7 years of content creation experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or academia.

  • Relevant training or exposure in health economics, public health, epidemiology, or related scientific discipline.
