Job Summary

Eli Lilly is seeking a highly experienced Associate Director to lead its Medical Affairs Intelligence & Analytics function. This role focuses on implementing global strategies for capturing, analyzing, and transforming customer insights into actionable solutions. With a central role in enhancing patient outcomes and supporting strategic medical functions, this position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in healthcare analytics, insight generation, and cross-functional leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement global analytics strategies focused on customer questions and insight generation

  • Lead Medical Affairs training and education on Insight to Action frameworks

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, PRA, Regulatory, and Legal

  • Analyze and translate complex customer data into clinically relevant information

  • Apply text analytics, linguistic and semantic analyses to derive actionable insights

  • Oversee metrics and reporting for Medical Affairs Intelligence initiatives

  • Partner with internal and vendor teams to enhance insight-gathering capabilities

  • Educate and train functional leads on compliant and effective data collection methods

  • Support clinical development, strategic disclosures, and medical education efforts

  • Lead innovation in how Medical Affairs addresses global customer needs


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field with 5+ years of industry experience

  • OR Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience

  • OR PhD with post-doctoral or equivalent experience

  • Deep understanding of therapeutic areas and healthcare customer needs

  • Proven experience in customer feedback analysis and communication

  • Strong project management and time management skills

  • High-level proficiency in data tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, dashboards)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a matrixed environment

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Lilly does not provide sponsorship for this role)


Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree (e.g., Pharm.D., MSN)

  • Experience with Six Sigma

  • Background in cognitive or behavioral analytics

  • Experience in pharmaceutical customer service or medical content delivery

  • Experience working with text or linguistic analytics tools

  • Prior exposure to GVP, ICH-GCP, and regulatory frameworks
