Purpose:
The Health Outcomes Liaison (HOL) team at Lilly serves as the medical, health economic, and outcomes research (HEOR) interface between Lilly and U.S. population-based decision-makers (PBDMs). The HOL role answers customer questions with clinical evidence, HEOR, and real-world evidence (RWE) to support formulary access and pathways/guidelines decisions. This role enhances decision-making and improves patient outcomes by anticipating stakeholder evidence needs and addressing therapeutic evidence gaps.

Primary Responsibilities:

Customer Support:

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with PBDMs, acting as the primary point of contact.

  • Deliver and leverage scientific and value evidence to maintain long-term relationships.

  • Synthesize and translate complex data into actionable evidence to support informed decisions.

  • Collaborate with internal medical and commercial partners to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Provide deep medical and value expertise, identifying opportunities for clinical optimization.

  • Utilize and tailor relevant content to meet PBDMs' medical and value needs effectively.

Evidentiary Support & Innovative Collaborations:

  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of clinical, analytic, and account-level considerations.

  • Identify opportunities to create evidence and improve patient outcomes.

  • Share customer insights, evidence gaps, and environmental trends to influence asset strategy.

  • Support the development of account engagement plans with scientific and value inputs.

  • Build proactive relationships leading to innovative collaborations.

US Healthcare System & Environmental Expertise:

  • Maintain expertise on therapeutic drug classes, disease states, HEOR, formulary management, and value frameworks.

  • Stay informed on emerging science, healthcare policy, and regulatory actions relevant to PBDMs.

  • Serve as a resource for customers and internal partners on medical, HEOR, and policy topics.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Education: Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, MS, MSN, MPH) in a scientific or health-related field OR Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in health science or health outcomes.

  • Legal Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Deep understanding of the US healthcare system and value-based decision-makers.

  • Ability to communicate study findings on clinical and HEOR topics effectively.

  • Strong comprehension and interpersonal skills to translate complex scientific information.

  • Experience supporting population-based decision-makers.

  • Relevant experience in data analytics and/or HEOR research.

  • Expertise in cardiometabolic and neuroscience therapeutic areas.

  • Demonstrated expertise in HEOR and value assessment.

  • Experience managing multiple projects with high-level organizational skills.

  • Field-based customer-facing experience in industry roles (e.g., medical, clinical development, HEOR).

  • Travel: High travel requirement (50%+).

  • Location: Field-based in the US with remote communication capabilities.

Compensation:

  • Anticipated wage: $145,500 - $213,400, with company bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), pension, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and other well-being benefits.
