Job Summary:

The Associate Director, Regional Field Medical Lead (Dermatology – West) will lead a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), executing Sun Pharma’s medical strategy through strategic scientific engagement with healthcare providers and managed care organizations. The role includes talent leadership, cross-functional collaboration, regional strategy implementation, and compliance management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of MSLs aligned with Sun Pharma’s values and goals.

  • Guide and support MSLs in strategic execution, performance evaluation, and field coaching.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dermatology therapeutic trends and managed markets.

  • Translate MSL insights into strategic feedback for internal stakeholders.

  • Oversee customer engagement plans, clinical trial support, and training activities.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to support medical and business needs.

  • Ensure field medical activities are compliant with SOPs, regulatory requirements, and HCC policies.

  • Promote standards and harmonization of field medical operations across therapeutic areas.


Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., M.D./D.O., Ph.D.).

  • 5–8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related field.

  • Proven leadership experience managing field medical teams.

  • Strong communication, coaching, and people development skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior field medical or Medical Affairs experience in dermatology.

  • Experience with U.S. Medical Affairs strategy, scientific engagement plans, and product launches.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration capabilities.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: $183,000–$224,000 (depending on location and experience)

  • Bonuses: Eligible for Annual Performance Bonus Plan
