Position Overview:

Provide leadership and oversight to Senior Global Trial Managers (SGTMs) to ensure clinical project delivery is achieved with high quality, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. Drive operational excellence, talent development, and team performance while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and IQVIA standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight & Delivery

  • Oversee clinical delivery of assigned projects per ICH-GCP, protocols, client contracts, and internal SOPs.

  • Ensure Clinical Leads (CLs) maintain GCP accreditation within a 2-year cycle.

  • Collaborate with SGTMs to monitor project performance, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Address performance issues through action/recovery plans.

  • Drive compliance with clinical metrics dashboards and risk management processes.

  • Support quality management processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Guide SGTMs in managing project finances and identifying out-of-scope work.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Mentor and coach SGTMs in:

    • Identifying and managing project risks

    • Reviewing project-level metrics and reports

    • Navigating clinical aspects of project delivery

  • Provide resourcing and talent planning for the SGTM team.

  • Manage project-level performance and operational planning.

  • Conduct progress reviews, evaluations, and develop contingency plans.

  • Ensure each SGTM follows an individual development plan (IDP).


Travel Requirement:

  • Up to 25% domestic or international travel as needed.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or related field (required)

Experience:

  • 10+ years of clinical research experience

  • 6+ years of leadership experience with global or multi-regional focus

  • Proven experience managing cross-regional teams and leading clinical trials

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Deep knowledge of clinical research regulatory requirements (GCP, ICH)

  • Strong understanding of the clinical research industry

  • Demonstrated people management and team leadership abilities

  • Capable of mentoring, training, and retaining high-performing staff

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills across global teams

  • Effective decision-making, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills

  • Strong organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication in English (written and verbal)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools

  • Able to balance multiple priorities and deliver results


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range (Annualized):
    $102,500 – $285,500 (based on skills, experience, and location)
