Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Clinical GEO, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology

Job Overview:

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, one of the oldest and most prestigious medical schools in the country, is seeking an MD academic clinician educator to join the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology, Immunology, and Allergy. This opportunity provides leadership within clinical Rheumatology and education, in collaboration with faculty across departments and divisions in the medical center. Research opportunities are also available based on individual interest.

As part of the College of Medicine's commitment to excellence, the ideal candidate will be involved in training and teaching learners at various levels, from medical students to fellows. This role will focus on the diagnosis and management of a range of rheumatologic and autoimmune disorders, both in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Essential Functions:

  • Precepting fellows, residents, and medical students in both ambulatory and inpatient settings.
  • Leading lectures and small group discussions as part of the curriculum.
  • Diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders due to immune system dysfunction.
  • Managing a variety of rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions.
  • Patient care responsibilities include outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital services, and consultations.
  • Teaching and training learners at multiple levels in the education process.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Medical Degree (MD).
  • Completion of a 4-year Internal Medicine residency/training.
  • Completion of a 2-year Rheumatology fellowship/training.
  • Ohio Medical License.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Office environment with no unusual physical or environmental demands.
