Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 25–30 certified coders.

  • Ensure a safe, secure, and compliant work environment.

  • Performance Management:

    • Monitor timeliness, quality, and productivity metrics.

    • Conduct coaching, counseling, and employee appraisals.

    • Enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

  • Maintain quality service by analyzing customer service issues, identifying trends, and recommending improvements.

  • Enhance professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies.

  • Drive employee engagement and retention by sharing company vision, empowering employees, and providing regular feedback.

  • Ensure compliance with employment contracts, company policies, and organizational directives, including changes in work location, team assignment, shifts, or work arrangements.


Required Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate in any discipline.

  • Certification: Certified coder from AAPC or AHIMA.

  • Experience:

    • 2+ years as Team Leader or Assistant Manager.

    • Experience managing a team of at least 15 members.

    • Background in medical coding.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Performance management, coaching, supervision, quality management.

    • Ability to foster teamwork, handle pressure, and provide feedback.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

    • Ability to operate basic office equipment (copier, fax).
