Job Title: Medical Science Liaison – Oncology

Job Purpose

  • Provide high-standard scientific and technical expertise for local medical information.

  • Engage with Key External Experts (KEEs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support medical and business strategy.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Scientific Engagement & Networking

    • Develop and maintain credible relationships with Health Care Practitioners (HCPs).

    • Plan, facilitate, and conduct CMEs, symposia, workshops, scientific meetings, speaker tours, and other product-specific campaigns.

    • Deliver consistent “on-label” scientific presentations at medical education meetings.

    • Support Scientific Engagement activities as per Medical Plans while adhering to promotional codes.

  2. Oncology Expertise

    • Become an expert in oncology products within GSK’s portfolio.

    • Stay updated on scientific knowledge, GSK molecules, and Product Information (PI) for accurate communications.

  3. Medical Strategy & Research Support

    • Contribute medical input to brand strategy development and execution.

    • Assist in feasibility assessments of potential research sites, including concept notes, proposals, budgets, data collection, and monitoring tools for field studies.

  4. Pharmacovigilance Support

    • Support the Named Safety Contact in oncology Pharmacovigilance activities.

    • Ensure continuous self-learning in drug safety.


Qualifications & Education

  • Minimum: MBBS

  • Preferred: Postgraduate qualification in Pharmacology or Public Health (to interact with specialized HCPs).


Experience & Skills

  • Experience: 1–2 years in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in oncology.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and local language.

    • Experience presenting scientific topics in various settings.

    • Understanding of ICH-GCP principles and internal SOPs.

    • Ability to comprehend scientific methods and experimental design.

    • Presentation, technical writing, and relationship-building skills.

    • Ability to work in a team, provide constructive feedback, and contribute innovative ideas.
