Role Purpose

The Area Medical Advisor will:

  • Provide scientific expertise and act as a key bridge between Pfizer and leading medical experts.

  • Drive strategic and ethical medical initiatives across therapeutic areas.

  • Support the scientific integrity of initiatives spanning education, research, regulation, and commercial support.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Policy Support

  • Offer tactical and strategic insights to Product Management, ensuring ethical product promotion aligned with Pfizer’s values.

KOL Engagement

  • Build and nurture relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) at regional, national, or international levels to influence clinical practice and research.

  • Customize and coordinate presentations, ensuring medical advisor approval before distribution.

  • Facilitate initiatives—such as research collaborations, CME programs, and advisory boards—to deepen scientific engagement.

  • Track KOL engagement progression across four stages: Initiate → Develop → Partner → Impact.

Clinical Research Support

  • Identify and engage potential investigators/institutions for local clinical research.

  • Support study sites with medical expertise and data review.

  • Assist with study reporting, publication planning, and information dissemination.

Medical Initiatives & Education

  • Participate in and provide input on KOL meetings, advisory boards, CLMs (Customer Launch Meetings), and CMEs.

  • Conduct sessions as a speaker or moderator for therapy-specific educational programs.

  • Supply accurate, balanced medical information to internal stakeholders (e.g., sales teams) and external HCPs in compliance with SOPs and policy guidelines.
