Position Overview
GSK is seeking an experienced Area Medical Advisor – Hemato-Oncology (West) to provide medical and scientific expertise in oncology, with a focus on hemato-oncology. The role involves engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Health Care Practitioners (HCPs), supporting brand strategy, and ensuring high standards in medical communications and scientific presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with HCPs, KOLs, and KEEs in the hemato-oncology domain.

  • Plan and conduct scientific meetings, CMEs, symposia, workshops, trainings, and speaker engagements.

  • Deliver accurate and consistent “on-label” medical presentations in compliance with GSK standards.

  • Support Scientific Engagement (SE) activities in alignment with Medical Plans and Promotional Codes.

  • Stay updated on oncology science, GSK products, and regulatory information to ensure effective medical communication.

  • Provide medical input into brand strategy, field studies, concept notes, proposals, budgets, and monitoring tools.

  • Support pharmacovigilance by strengthening oncology drug safety awareness and reporting.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Educational Background: MBBS degree with a postgraduate qualification (preferred in Pharmacology or Public Health).

  • Experience: 1–2 years in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably within oncology or hemato-oncology.

  • Strong understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and internal SOPs.

  • Proven ability to present scientific content across diverse settings and audiences.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages.

  • Strong technical writing and presentation abilities.

  • Ability to keep up-to-date with new scientific developments.

  • Effective relationship-building and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback and support continuous improvement.
