Apprentice – Formulation Research & Development (FRD)

About the Role

Apuroopa is seeking a highly motivated Apprentice to join our Formulation Research & Development (FRD) team. This apprenticeship provides hands-on exposure to pharmaceutical formulation development, laboratory practices, analytical testing, and regulatory documentation. The role is designed for fresh graduates eager to gain practical experience in pharmaceutical R&D and build a strong foundation for a career in formulation science.

As an Apprentice, you will work closely with senior scientists and technical staff to support ongoing projects, gaining comprehensive knowledge of drug formulation, stability studies, and technology transfer processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in formulation development activities, including pre-formulation studies, trial batches, and stability testing.

  • Support analytical method development and routine laboratory testing under supervision.

  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, reports, and documentation in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

  • Participate in scale-up and technology transfer activities to manufacturing units.

  • Contribute to the preparation of regulatory dossiers, technical reports, and data summaries.

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, SOPs, and quality standards in all laboratory operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, QC, Production, and Regulatory Affairs to support project execution.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • M. Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) or equivalent.

  • Strong interest in formulation research and development.

  • Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical dosage forms, excipients, and analytical techniques.

  • Good communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with high attention to detail.
