Role Summary:

Support environmental compliance by collaborating internally and externally with operations to deliver sustainable long-term growth through innovative and green solutions. Contribute to making a positive impact on patients and society by supporting execution of processes and procedures ensuring environmental performance across manufacturing sites, R&D locations, and offices.


Purpose:

Novartis is committed to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) excellence and sustainability, aiming to minimize climate, waste, and water impact by 2030. This role supports environmental compliance in line with these goals and drives sustainability through operations and supplier management.


Major Accountabilities:

  • Support environmental compliance activities at manufacturing sites, R&D locations, and offices.

  • Assist in delivering projects aligned with business objectives and priorities.

  • Manage implementation of assigned projects, training initiatives, and reporting activities.

  • Support rollout and execution of environmental training programs.

  • Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies.

  • Organize associate engagement projects and campaigns, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Follow and manage business processes and departmental plans related to environmental compliance.

  • Provide support for monthly KPI reporting, sharing best practices, and delivering training and competency programs.

  • Ensure systems are in place to demonstrate and verify compliance with HSE, environmental compliance, and sustainability requirements.


Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • University degree in engineering, technology, or science.

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferred.

  • Experience in data analytics, performance reporting, and cross-functional stakeholder interaction preferred.

  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple projects preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • High learning agility and ability to adapt quickly.

  • Strong desire for continuous learning and professional development.

  • Dynamic, curious, self-motivated, and effective team player.

  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and proactive mindset.

  • Genuine passion for working in the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment.

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) required.

  • Working knowledge of additional languages (Spanish, Italian, or German) desirable.
