Job Summary

As the Associate Director (AD) of Late Lifecycle Management, you will play a critical role in supporting priority Therapy Areas (TAs) to optimize the value of assets approaching or beyond their Loss of Exclusivity (LoE). You will provide strategic advice across product design, IP, Business Development & Licensing (BD&L), market access, patient support, and sales/marketing, driving the successful execution of Late Lifecycle Management (LLCM) strategies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Support:

    • Advise priority brands and Therapy Areas on LLCM/LoE strategies, including strategic options assessment and impact analysis.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Market Access, Development, Medical, Manufacturing) to develop and implement robust LLCM plans.
  • Execution & Monitoring:

    • Support execution of LLCM plans for products transitioning to the Established Medicines portfolio.
    • Monitor the performance of patient services, market access, distribution channels, and supply chain considerations.
  • Knowledge Management:

    • Maintain and update the LLCM playbook, codifying strategies, documenting case studies, and analyzing past impacts to refine future approaches.
  • Compliance:

    • Ensure alignment with all Novartis policies, including the Code of Conduct, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience:

    • 8+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or consulting industries.
    • Minimum 2 years managing pharma assets nearing Late Lifecycle or Loss of Exclusivity (LoE).
    • Cross-functional expertise, including Insights/Analytics, Strategy, Portfolio Management, Market Access, and Patient Services.
    • Proven experience in the US market.
  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and forecasting abilities with a strategic mindset.
    • Exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex strategies and "telling a story" effectively.
    • Adept at managing priorities, challenging norms, and influencing stakeholders with tact and diplomacy.
  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields required; advanced degrees like an MBA are highly desirable.
