Overview:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Early Development team as an Associate Director of Clinic Operations, where you will lead clinical and technical operations for early-phase (Phase I–IV) clinical trials. You'll ensure optimal clinic function, resource planning, client satisfaction, and the successful execution of complex clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily clinic operations, including staffing, scheduling, participant recruitment, and study conduction.
Lead a multidisciplinary team managing logistics for clinical studies and client deliverables.
Collaborate with clinic leadership and department managers to ensure operational alignment and resource optimization.
Attend and contribute to sponsor meetings and business development efforts.
Manage strategic planning, retrospective analysis of clinic performance, and future capability planning.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, FDA, and ICH guidelines.
Participate in automation and technological initiatives to enhance clinic operations.
Represent the clinic in client dinners, events, and key sponsor relationships.
Provide weekend and after-hours leadership support as needed.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master’s in a related field preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of relevant experience in clinical research operations.
5+ years in a management/leadership role.
Strong background in clinical trials, project management, regulatory frameworks, and operational leadership.
Skills & Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of clinical trial management.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication (written and verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and manage multiple priorities.
Skilled in time management, operational planning, and staff development.
Work Environment:
Fully onsite in a clinical/office setting.
Frequent stationary work (6–8 hours/day).
Occasional lifting (15–20 lbs.), bending, and travel (domestic/international).
Weekend and evening availability required for sponsor events or clinic oversight.
